Does Trump sound like a thief at this point?

He wants to take money from military funds and might divert money from disaster aids meant for California and Puerto Rico (which are still recovering from their disasters) just to try and get this wall he wants built.

In your mind what is wrong with building the wall?
Roger Waters would sue them for copyright infringement. @hippyjoe1955

Here are several reasons why a wall would not work.

@SW-User So everywhere else in the world walls work but not along the US southern border?
Walls seem to work well on my house at keeping people out that I don’t want in or from my stuff “migrating” into somone else’s possession.
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 Walls don't work in other parts of the world.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Have you talked to anyone who has put up a wall? Maybe someone from Israel?
SW-User
@DukeOfEarle Yet, migrants coming into the states are not stealing. And no migrants are breaking into your house to stay there.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User As long as someone smuggles in humans and deadly drugs its ok just don't steal?
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 The reason they placed up a wall was to deter the number of Palestinian militants from coming into Israel and bombing themselves up. Even still Palestinians are allowed to come in and yet even though there is a wall there are still attacks on Israeli citizens. You also forgetting the effects of biodiversity and other legal problems that come along with the wall in Israel. The same would happen if a wall were to be built in the U.S.
ROFL. According to who? CNN? Michael Moore? Not according to the people I know who live down that way. It’s easy enought to say “everything’s fine” because it fits whatever horseblinder world you choose to live in. It becomes quite something else when you have to live with it. But hey if you’re against walls, move into a lean-to. See how that works for ya. But you won’t because you KNOW what’s going to happen. So seriously, stop it. Your arguments are, at best, moronic. @SW-User
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Do you know how much the number of attacks has dropped since Israel built the wall? Did you know they are expanding the wall?
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 It can also be said that what Trump is doing is also stealing. As he wants to take away disaster relief funds from areas such as Puerto Rico and California where it is needed and funds from the military.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User No it can not be said he is stealing. More like finding some change between the seat cushions in your house.

@DukeOfEarle

It was more moronic for you to try and compare a border wall to your house as your house is not 2,000 miles long. Nor does anyone have to pay for your house for several decades or so once it was built.
And it could also be said that the Democrats want illegal aliens in this country and give them voting rights because the actual number of citizens registered with their party keeps dropping year after year because of their elitist idiocy and tax and spend methods that are killing the economy. A lot of things can be said. But when it comes to getting things actually done, all they do is create problems. The bottom line is simple and inarguable: walls stop things from coming in that are not supposed to. End of story. Check the law books. Coming into this country without a visa or passport IS ILLEGAL. If you don’t like the law, move.

@SW-User No a house wall and a border wall both work in similar fashion for exactly the same reason.
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 That is stealing. Puerto Rico is still recovering from the effects of hurricane Jose and Maria and it's going to take a while to rebuild. That money was used for them to rebuild. Hopefully they don't get hit hard with another hurricane this year. Same with California, they are still recovering from a wildfire, that money was there for them to rebuild areas that were hit.

And for the military, he has to prove that he's using that money that supports the military, he is not. he is stealing that for his wall.

To you it does. But a house is to live in, a border wall is not a house.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Nope. Check out the corruption of the Puerto Rico government. They have been given more than enough.
California also appropriated billions of federal funds for a bullet train that is no longer going to be built. So, looks like they have money to help people, don’t they? Or did the Democrats pocket that cash too?

@SW-User A nation is my home. Same difference. Only silly liberals can't see that.

Can you please show me where any Democrats want open borders?

walls stop things from coming in that are not supposed to.

A majority of people come in by travel visa and usually overstay on them, so by law they are classified as illegal immigrants. So even if Trumps wall was built, there will still be illegal immigrants in the States. You are also forgetting that there are other countries where people come from too, legal and illegal. So a border wall will not stop that.

On drugs

a wall will not stop that either. Drugs come in hidden in vehicles through ports of entry, they aren't carried on foot. And you can't cut off those ports of entry with a wall because that would hurt the united states financially. Drugs are also smuggled in through ship cargo and planes. Plus didn't a U.S. solider try to smuggle $1 million dollars worth of cocaine from Columbia abroad a military plane last year? There is also an issue with people in the government smuggling in illegal drugs to use that need to be addressed as well.

With human trafficking.
A wall ignores the issue, it does not stop it. human trafficking takes place across the world, even in the States, so a wall is not going to stop that either. How to end human trafficking is another issue.

That's federal funds, not disaster funds. Still Trump should not taking them, because they are not for his border wall. Just like the military funds are not for him.
