Not at all. We are all immigrants, or decedents of immigrants. Even the "Native" Americans came over from Asia.

The founders of the country came to a land where there was no infrastructure. They had to create something from nothing but opportunity.
Until the 20th century, social programs and a commitment from hospitals to turn no one away didn't exist.
The notion that we are all immigrants is a bit of a red herring.
Also note that there are MANY immigrants who come here legally and go through the hell of being on a visa/green card waiting list for sometimes over a decade.
We DO need a more rational immigration program. But if there is going to be a challenge to Trump supporters implying that all immigrants are criminals, they there should also be a challenge that all immigrants have the same level of dedication and willingness to make this a stronger country.
