You neglected to say that the funding for those "700 miles" of fencing was approved by Congress in 2006 and signed into law by President Bush.

It was part of the "Secure Fence Act."

Yes, then-Sen. Obama voted for it; so did Sen. Schumer. Then-Minority House leader Nancy Pelosi did not.
