With that look (smirk) on her face I think she secretly "wanted" Donald! She's a naughty lady!

@soar2newhighs You don’t know women very well if that’s how you read that look. 😅
Fernie · F
@bijouxbroussard exactly right!! Not a clue
I read it as I deem, but seeing you can't discern sarcasm, it had nothing to do with her and Donald, other than a political ploy@bijouxbroussard
@soar2newhighs Well, the entire speech was a political ploy, so...? I mean, obviously Trump wasn’t overly concerned about “bipartisanship” when holding rallies demonizing Democrats...right ? 🤔
Get real! You don't think Democrats demonize the Republicans and Trump? Wake up! This is the nature of hard ball politics. They go after each other's "jugular (metaphorically) to do the most damage they can, on both sides.@bijouxbroussard
@soar2newhighs Trump is the president of the entire country and he’s been holding RALLIES demonizing the other half of his government ! He took the word of one foreign leader against his own intelligence community and the word of another leader (and personal business interests) ahead of justice in the murder of one of his countrymen, a journalist. That’s not something other presidents have done in modern times—from either party. That’s why his words ring so hollow.
Justice under Presidents does not always go the way we the people believe it should. I remind you of the USS Liberty USN vessel attacked by Israeli forces, yet LBJ (Democrat) did not do much about it, lest he feared losing Israel's support. You need to review American President's and their failures, like JFK, backing out of supporting those Cuban Freedom Fighters who were captured and many held in prison for years, because ANOTHER democrat caved in, and others paid the price. Politics is a dirty, hardball game and if you think otherwise you are naïve. All their words ring hollow-tell me whose didn't.
@soar2newhighs Since you remember (and clearly disapprove of what happened then), how can you continue to make excuses for Trump ? And when did JFK or Johnson label the GOP “Enemy of the American People” ?
Get over it...it's politics, semantics, or do you remember Bill Clinton's remarks about Obama to Ted Kennedy? If you don't, I suggest you look it up. Again you're not realizing the nature of politics and politicians.@bijouxbroussard
@soar2newhighs Trump is president now. Your “whataboutism” doesn’t change the fact that this president has little room to speak of “bipartisanship” and “unity” after his divisive and racist politics, beginning with his campaign.
Easiest word to throw around these days is "racist", "racism" Get's a lot of traction and mileage, doesn't it? And if you per chance are a Democrat, follow their party, then look into their history...you'll discover some serious racist activities and mind sets. And racism is not unique to any race or ethnicity, it's worldwide.@bijouxbroussard
@soar2newhighs Absolutely. And you look into “Southern Strategy”.You might also look into the fact that today (Yes, it’s 2019 now) the people pushing to keep Confederate flags and symbols prominent, instead of in museums where they belong, are Republicans. And the people holding Democrats in Virginia accountable for their past missteps are other Democrats. If these politicians had been from the GOP, their party would be trying to bury it, making excuses—or worse, claiming that “the only racism that exists is against white men”. 🤦🏽‍♀️
Your last statement is broad, painting with a broad brush. I disagree. Re: Confederate monuments/flags, yes for the African-_American Community, much of it is loathed, and understandable, but it is also something else-part of this nation's history, and it's not going to be erased.@bijouxbroussard I AM OIFF FOR NOW-DESPITE OUR DIFFERING OPINIONS, I ENJOY GOING BACK AND FORTH. WHY? IT'S A DIALOGUE, AND OPINIONS AND BELIEFS EXPRESSED THAT MIGHT OPEN ONE'S EYES AND MIND TO OTHER POINTS OF VIEW. HAVE A GOOD NIGHT.
@soar2newhighs Putting those relics into museums is not erasing them. But flying them with the motto “heritage not hatred” is attempting to “sanitize” and justify that history. It would be the equivalent of a German flying a swaztika and expecting the words “heritage not hatred” to absolve that historical context.

I also appreciate that you can discuss this and remain civil, as not everyone can. A good evening to you as well. 🙂
