In 2006 3 notable Democrats espoused a wall to halt or stem illegal immigration. Obama (then a Senator), Chuck Schumer (then a Senator) and Hillary Clinton (senator too, I believe)and a number of other Democrats were in lock step with this idea. About time the Gov't at least attempted a serious approach to border security. My question is: Why the turn around by these people?

In this article, it talks about, not shockingly, how trump's message has changed on this multiple times. Sometimes saying a full border, other times less than 500 miles, while other times saying only 1000.
