Turning Point UK lands in Britain.

No, not the mental health charity which does excellent work turning around people's lives but the Charlie Kirk American Conservative student group. 馃ぃ

Apparently, because British students are intolerant (i.e. they are critical) of right-wing views on campus, we need to import and American-style culture war to give it back to the man giving it back to the man. Tropes include the argument that the left has created racism by dividing people by identity politics, an idea which is entirely imported from the American right. It's aimed about being edgy and counter-cultural by getting an endorsement from Jacob-Reece-Mogg and choosing an ex-Bullingdon club boy to lead it. Now for the first time ever, the elite of the elite will finally have a voice in British society.

I predict this will exist exclusively online via a few memes and that 70% of young people will continue to vote Labour.

@thatscottishguy I love the way that lefty students on Twitter have mercilessly parodied them. 馃槣

They do seem to have some plan of touring campuses. If that happens I doubt it will last long and I imagine like Tommy Robinson they will have a group of thugs with them everywhere they go.
