Kamala Harris, is she the right one?

If the people want someone who thinks the Knights of Columbus is a radical organization, she is your woman.

Maybe. She can lose in 2020 as well as any other Dem.

No.

I don't like that she thought the answer to solving truancy problems of school children was to toss their low-income parents into jail.

That sounds more like a Trumpian program to me.

She could possibly be.

Kamala Harris began her political career bent over the desk of a married man. Now she wants to do the same to the rest of us.

She could be, but it is too early to tell. She has her work cut out for her.

The right one if you need an example of how to sleep your way into power.
I doubt it, but it's too early to tell for me.

@MistyCee It is early , there already are a few contenders with more to come out soon.
@BAS233 I'm going to wait and see how all the democrats handle themselves and where they end up on policy, not to mention keeping an eye on the remote possibility of a Republican challenging Trump in the primary.

Mm, I don't know. She seems a little too distractible by the limelight.
She lost me with the Knights of Columbus thing.
@CopperCicada Yeah, that was ill-advised. My father and grandfather belonged to the Knights of Peter Claver, but Pop is still pro-choice.

I don't think so. Who knows she might surprise me, but I kind of doubt it.

You mean radical left one ? Nope
She has as good a chance as anyone at this point. But the country’s heightened racism and sexism right now won’t make it easy.
@AndrewtheAlu No, alas. We’re at a point where some people are trying to reinvent those things as positive: “nationalism”, “traditional values”. For a time there was kind of an agreement that giving someone a chance based upon their ideas was part of a democratic society. But, led by folks like Trump, giving people of color or women the lead is framed as “an attack on white, Christian men”. It will be difficult to recover from that narrative.
@bijouxbroussard possibly, but remember Trump didn’t win the popular vote, and there were a lot of people who didn’t vote. There must be some case for optimism right?
@AndrewtheAlu I truly hope so, and the midterms were very positive in that regard. The best possible scenario is that the people who were really upset by Trump will put their anger where their ballots are and tell their friends. Friends and family drove people who needed rides to the polls last November.
Honestly, I still don’t know everything I need to, to decide.
