I heard another explanation. That Mueller's team issued the statement because they don't want to look like they're leaking. That would bring about another leak investigation.

I suspect some details are wrong in the story.

But why would Cohen give false testimony to Congress about the Moscow project in the first place? 🤔

After all, [i]he[/i] was in no legal jeopardy of he had told the truth about the timing of it.

Why would Cohen be in trouble if he had told Congress the truth, that Trump was still considering the Moscow tower project nearly right up to the 2016 Republican convention?

The experts are saying that Mueller’s statement meant that the buzzfeed report was more than “slightly inaccurate” inasmuch as it’s the first thing Mueller has said in a year. @beckyromero
