Buzzfeed report picked up by the rest of the media including CNN without any fact checking

is a terrific example of trial by slander. Fortunately Mueller slammed buzzfeed. Apparently at least he believes in due process. Look it up it’s in the CONSTITUTION

No other news organisation was able to independently corroborate the story , and they all said so.

Fake news.

Wrong. They broadcast it as is until Mueller told the truth. Backed of after Mueller statement. You’re a lame apologist for hypocrisy. @RodionRomanovitch

@jackjjackson And now you're being dishonest in order to further your agenda. You've deliberately confused comment with reporting , in much the same way your hero in the WH does , coincidentally , or not.

From today's NYT ;

" Unlike past articles on the possible ties between Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia, however, this one was not followed by similar stories from other news organizations, who proved unable to corroborate its findings with reporting of their own. And on Friday, the office of the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, broke precedent by issuing a denial, interrupting nearly 20 months of silence from Mr. Mueller on news reports swirling around his investigation. "

Nonsense. The rest of the media simply passed on the buzzfeed nonsense verbatim without looking into it and now seek to use the excuse “buzzfeed said ....” @RodionRomanovitch

@jackjjackson None of them were able to corroborate the story and they all said so. And that's a fact , Jack.

Only AFTER Mueller debunked buzzfeed. The rest of the lemmings THEN took it back and tried to blame buzzfeed. @RodionRomanovitch

@jackjjackson I think you are misunderstanding Jack. I said earlier that you were confusing comment with reporting , maybe not deliberately after all , but nevertheless. Other news organisations were speculating on the implications of Buzzfeed's report (and admittedly with some relish) , IF TRUE. BUT they all also said that they could neither independently corroborate or confirm the story , and hence Buzzfeed being the only news organisation being singled out for false reporting.

And regardless of that I still expect the reporting to be eventually borne out , as do they. Cohen in his admission of guilt has already said it was at the 'directive' of Trump. Whether there is explicit proof of that (as Buzzfeed claim) is really the only contested fact. And Giuliani confirmed earlier today that Trump was indeed involved in conversations with Cohen prior to his original testimony.

I disagree that other media used the “if true” proviso. @RodionRomanovitch

OK. You found an exception I stand corrected. @RodionRomanovitch
