Reread your constitution, and see where it mentions the precise format (it doesn't). The tradition of delivering it in person is relatively new.

@QuixoticSoul @SW-User Add to that the fact that most every member of congress knows more than the current president - who doesn't believe in daily briefings.

For the first time ever - in my opinion - we are at a point where any of the three of us may know more than the POTUS. That's not bragging. That's fucking scary.
