Federal workers..

Does anyone know, if the federal workers..TSA, air traffic control, and anyone else who are working without pay, do they sign a job description, when they are hired, that they must work without pay during government shutdowns?

That's a great question. I never thought about it that way.

@Indy74 I don't think they are "allowed" to strike, but I just wonder if that might be a clause in their work contract/job description.

@SW-User I think it could possibly be a clause in their contract. The government is calling in all these workers to work without pay. It's just not fair for this to continue.

@Indy74 yes I agree, not fair, but myself, I'd go find a paying job. Some money, better than no money!

@SW-User you are so right. Most are qualified to do many things other than work for the government.

@Indy74 when i was hired at my current job, it is a requirement to get a flu shot every year or you don't work...so things like this exist.

@SW-User that's just unbelievable! It should be your right if you don't want to get a flu shot.

@Indy74 that's why they tell you when they hire you! If you're allergic, you have to have a note from your doctor lol! Most healthcare related jobs now have this as a requirement.

@SW-User wow, that's amazing. What's happened to our rights?

@Indy74 we have none!
