There's a very good, self-interested reason Cameron resigned. You think he wanted to be put into this situation? He knew damn well there is no outcome that makes him look good, so rather than choosing how to lose, he left. May stepped into this situation on her own accord. Maybe she didn't understand it, but nonetheless she chose it.
