Perhaps, unlike many, he knew when to leave the stage.
I like the fact that even in his later years he was quite prepared to pi$$ a few folk off by protesting for what he saw as right.

@jackjjackson Absolutely. Can't help but wonder if he should be seen more (historically) as somebody to be revered for his public conduct if nothing else.
