Illegal border crossings during the Bush 43 Administration decreased from the Clinton Administration. Illegal border crossings during the Obama Administration decreased from the Bush 43 Administration. Illegal border crossings during the Trump Administration decreased from the Obama Administration. Illegal border crossings are now at the lowest level since 1971. There is no "crisis" other than the one manufactured by Trump. There are border security issues that everyone agrees need to be addressed. They will not be solved by a wall. Extension of barriers makes sense in some areas. Combined with better technology, more border agents, and other techniques they will be more effective and less expensive than a 2000-mile wall.
