Seems that way, but guns v. tyranny is pretty silly these days, unless your talking about tanks and Missiles.

I think guns are more about fear and security from "criminals", really, for most people.

It’s actually been used against local govt in the us. Remeber it not just national tyranny.
@St0ut Ruby Ridge, countless moonshiners and it worked out great against the Russians in Red Dawn, too.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think there are as many militia types out there as there are people wanting to protect their families from burglars and rapists.
