Why the “wall” works for the President and dooms the Dems

The largest voting block wants “the wall” in some form. By largest voting block I mean the largest plurality that agrees and supports any one political issue. They don’t want a fifth century wall they want a 21st century technology filled border barrier added to the areas where nothing exists together with more and better border security along the entire border it’s his signature issue and the one that will get him re-elected. It’s a win if the Dems continue to do zero. It’s a win if more “wall” goes up. Him sitting tight while the Senate kills any House approved bills works to his advantage even more daily. Meanwhile the Dems are the obstructionists.

The wall WORKS that is why the libs don't want it! Between the wall and voter ID laws they would lose their biggest voting block.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@curiosi no, the wall costs money that the debt ridden economy doesn't have and would lead to people losing areas they live on to construct it and you can't build in other areas like the sea. Why don't conservatives spend that on the vets they pretend to care about?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@curiosi Illegal immigrants don't vote. Only in the imaginations of Trumpettes.

Voter ID laws are aimed at voter suppression, not maintaining the fairness of elections. That's why many of them have been struck down in the courts. You are correct though that voter suppression efforts will hurt those that tend to vote Democratic. That's why Republicans love them so.
Illegal aliens (get your terms right you’re using a made up make believe term) are eligible to vote in some parts of CA. @windinhishair
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson Don't be disingenuous. That's not true in any federal or state election, even in California. It may be true in certain local school board elections. Far from the point being made by the poster.

It really doesn't matter if you want to call illegal immigrants aliens or some other term. We all know what we are referring too.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@basilfawlty89 Why not take all our wasteful spending and spend it on the wall? A wall is needed not wasteful.
curiosi · 61-69, F
@GunSmoke9 Lib logic!

Read the immigration code. The term illegal immigrant DOES NOT appear. The term illegal alien is used. @windinhishair
So you’re going from illegal aliens never vote to they “might vote in CA” once I reminded you? Finally a hint of intellectual honesty. @windinhishair
@curiosi and the sad thing those are not characters
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson You know you were being dishonest yet again. There are no illegal immigrants voting in any state or federal elections. Period. To claim otherwise is to continue to be dishonest.
curiosi · 61-69, F
@windinhishair In my state it has been proven that illegals, dead people and felons have voted. Because you choose not to see it doesn't mean it isn't true.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@curiosi Documentation please, since studies of voter fraud show that there is no pattern of illegal voting that you reference. There simply is no evidence of widespread voter fraud.
CC67219 · 46-50, F
@windinhishair even if it were provided youd proceed to argue the validity and post another ridiculous photo revealing your level of engagement in the topic.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@CC67219 In other words, you cannot provide any evidence of widespread voter fraud.
CC67219 · 46-50, F
@windinhishair in other words, its pointless to discuss this topic with someone of your mindset and attitude.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@CC67219 True. Because you cannot provide any facts that would allow a discussion to proceed.
CC67219 · 46-50, F
@windinhishair Fact by your previous political comments... youd rather have pointless arguments instead of productive conversations.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@CC67219 I'm waiting for your "facts". You should provide them if you have them. Otherwise, it does become a pointless argument when you cannot back up what you say in any way.
CC67219 · 46-50, F
@windinhishair i just gave you one....and another in our other conversation. Why arent you listening?
Its almost like you just want to keep arguing....
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@CC67219 You haven't provided a single source, biased or otherwise, that supports your statements.
CC67219 · 46-50, F
@windinhishair that's because everyone but YOU can see I'm making you look like a jack ass
CC67219 · 46-50, F
And you're making it really easy
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@CC67219 Interesting take. You make an unsupported statement that is clearly incorrect, fail to back it up with any factual information whatsoever. It is you exposing yourself as ignorant.
They won’t do your homework for you. That tactic doesn’t work. You have a track record of making untrue histrionic claims and then ineptly trying to twist words when you’re caught out. @windinhishair
It’s like you’re describing yourself lol. @windinhishair
