He often says that he heard it, or heard it from someone. He’s not big on references.
For instance, he tweeted that the Obamas constructed a 10 feet wall around their DC house.
It turns out that TMZ.com, a gossip site, more than a year ago, reported that some workers were doing work.
Some right wing sites revived it recently. Trump tweeted it.
Some site reports 5M illegals voted for Hillary. He treats it as fact, and starts a committee.
A bunch of guys decide, after a few beers, in a jersey bar, that thousands of Muslims, celebrated 9/11. Trump reports it as fact.
This is how Trump’s mind works.

This is by design. He’s catering to a base that behaves the same way.
Trump is what happens when the guys who get together in a dive bar, every day, and chat about what they would do, if they were President, and one of them actually becomes President.

@LvChris Republicans are right to be scared of Trumps base. Removing even 10% of the Republican vote from any election puts the Republican Party wandering in the wilderness.

@LvChris Agreed. But the rabid Trump voters will stay home if he is removed, or follow him as an independent if he is eligible to run next time. I see Romney is already positioning himself as an alternate.
