It's phrased very harsh but let's say I am glad to live where I live. I get an extend to social security and peace of mind that I never would in the US. For instance: If I lose my job I get 80% of my last salary during 2 years.

@Overwatch6 Yes of course. You pay while you work and you get money if have troubles. The ones who have it pay for those that don't have it. Solidarity. Works perfectly fine. BTW... My country has this system in place for 40 years and it works perfect. 10th highest GDP in the world and one of the lowest indebtedness worldwide. Such a system can and does work if managed properly.

Actually Mexico has the 15th highest GDP in 2018 and the United States is number 1. Additionally Mexico has amassed half the debt of the United States while making less than 2.45 trillion GDP to the 19.49 trillion GDP that the United States did....
