Do you find it odd that the US government passed a bill reducing punishment for non violent crimes?

They say it's for drug offenders and such but I guarantee in includes something to get political or white collar crimes off the hook too.

No, this was to combat Clinton’s “3 Strikes” bullshit, which put people in jail for life for shit that most people wouldn’t even think twice about.
Yet murders, rapists, and gang bangers get out on plea deals.
