1. Not all but some is.
2. Abuse of any vulnerable adult, animal or child should be. Really, it should just not be tolerated by a developed society and we shouldn't need laws for such things, respectful treatment of others should just be engrained in culture.
3. Children should not be removed from a home solely based on the religious doctrine their parents follow. If their psychological or physical well being is being significantly negatively affected then a social worker or advocate should be court appointed to determine the best course of action. I imagine it is rare occurance when a child is in such a dangerous situation they need to be removed from their home because of a religious practice. Not unheard of but rare.
