Ok #metoo people. Guilty or innocent?

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
#1. Just because there's a news report, doesn't make it true.
#2. Consider the 'source'. Fox news. That in itself should make you question it's validity as a story.
#3. Picture. Headline.....No quotes ! Almost as if it's just supposed to shock.

So that's the facts of this story as you've presented it.
And what the hell has metoo got to do with anything ??
@Picklebobble2 think Justice Kavanaugh. Remember survivors are to be believed no matter what.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Harley4Life Yeah the problem with that theory is that not ALL 'survivors' are what they say or appear to be.
And as i said, you've nothing to back the story other than a headline intended to shock and a stock photo of the school.
mrmoose · 70-79, M
maybe we could wait for the trial
katielass · F
innocent until proved guilty.
katielass · F
@MarineBob Yeah, but we aren't going to let those unAmerican idiots win are we? They don't make the rules.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
hell no, wasn't kav. a teen ...... the democraps should be screaming for the death penalty right now oh that's right they're two faced
katielass · F
@MarineBob yes, they're all mixed up. Their mothers scrambled their brains instead of the eggs. tsk tsk
SW-User
Tf is a #metoo person? Anyways, they committed a crime. But I think life imprisonment seems a bit much, especially since they're 15. Their brain hasn't fully developed yet.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@SW-User They can understand consent just fine, although abstinence-only sex ed might cause them to not understand it. Regardless, part of the problem is that teenage brains undervalue the consequences of their actions, so the 4 in this story probably didn't adequately consider causing years of trauma to their victims, going to jail, etcetera. While that still shows what shitty people they are, it makes sense to use their lack of cognitive development as a point in their favor, so to speak, because it means they probably won't do the same shit again as an adult, when that doesn't come into play.
SW-User
@SW-User Depends on the person. But the only way to know for sure is when it is certain they have fully developed. They're fifteen. They were twelve three years before this. They basically just got out of middle school. They may understand consent, but the fact is, at that age, the part of the brain that is responsible for decision making is still figuring itself out. That should be acknowledged. And the fact that they're being charged as adults is crazy, especially since they aren't adults. Doesn't matter what the crime is.
SW-User
@Harley4Life I meant "assuming" that they've commited a crime, it seems like a lot for two teenagers.
SW-User
If they're guilty they should pay the price...

Rape is a disgusting crime..
katielass · F
@SW-User I don't know ANY facts of this case. We have a presumption of innocence in this country. It's what separates us from the shithole dictatorships.
SW-User
@katielass
Exactly...

@MarineBob Showing off your brilliance again, BobbyBoy? Read a newspaper every now & then. It's painless I assure you. There are no women involved in this one, so it's a lil tougher to figure out who you should hate.

Couple clues for you ... football players ... locker room ... four younger teens.

Better to be quiet and thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
I thought they were supposed to wait at least 30 years to tell anyone
bhatjc · 46-50, M
Lets the court figure it out.
Graylight · 51-55, F
Right now only the accused and victim know the answer to that question. There's been no trial.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@Graylight there was no trial for Kav. either
Graylight · 51-55, F
@MarineBob What does this case have to do with Kavanaugh?
hlpflwthat · M
@Graylight Ought to be a "💡" moment, but we won't hold our breath
AngelofFail · 26-30, F
charging teenagers for any kind of crime as adults is a crime in itself
@AngelofFail even murder?
AngelofFail · 26-30, F
@Harley4Life yes even murder.. rape... lynchmobs...

noone is with 30 the same person they were at 15 and so everyone deserves a 2nd chance
katielass · F
@AngelofFail You can have a second chance, in prison.
Serena · F
Innocent tf
