Why doesn't the left understand what socialism is?

No socialist ideas have ever worked in America or anywhere else. The Societ Union was a dystopia which was loved by so-called 'Democrats'. Sweden is a country governed by cultural Marxist ideology and that is why Bernie Sanders likes it.

The left don't realize but instead of listening to their opponent's arguments and dealing with them as they stand, they have to invent a ridiculous a made-up position to critize someone. They swallow propaganda by their biased media and are happy to believe what sounds right without doing their own research. This is how they divide and conquer and get people to vote against their own self-interest.

Socialism can be summed up in a single sentence..........Hate the man that is better off than you. Libs love their hatred and are constantly feeding it. It only stands to reason socialism would appeal to them.

@curiosi LOL No.

@curiosi You don't know many of us, do you? Most of us want to help other people. We don't need more for ourselves. I say this as I sit in my nice car in my wealthy suburb sipping my Starbucks, wearing my $200 Ugg boots and wondering why my cleaning lady is late...

@Laifu Lmao 😂

But seriously, a large portuon of “progressive activists” are high earners, more so than any other part of the electorate.

I’m not especially progressive, but a lot of people here would call me a socialist. I’m far from poor - I simply believe that certain things are better handled by the government, and that we’d all be better off with strong safety nets and social services. Systemic, not ad-hoc solutions.
