Federal tax rates are the same no matter what state you live in.
The only reason people pay more or less is based on income levels.
NY and CA have higher income levels because they have higher costs of living to cover.

I was just pointing out why people most likely pay more in Federal taxes in places like CA and NY.

@cherokeepatti Everyone I know donated money. Some who have spare room are housing people. We also pay high state taxes to provide systemic solutions - and fund the federal government at higher rates than the vast majority of conservative states.
