But you guys always had a measure of emotional safety in being able to rely on the worlds only true superpower as being sane and functional. Those illusions are gone forever - and I wouldn鈥檛 be surprised if you come to miss them in the days to come.
American people still don鈥檛 understand what it is they destroyed when they showed themselves capable of electing a child to the White House. That鈥檚 the real damage here, and it will far outlast Trump or anything he will do. 2020 can鈥檛 change that whichever way it goes.

@QuixoticSoul You are right of course. I will miss the idea of America. But I wont miss what it has become. China is moving into the vacuum and offering more to nations who need it, in exchange for cooperation and friendly deals. Out America-ing America.
