Do you feel that becoming more informed about politics changes your life for the better?

To me, there is literally nothing of value in it as I see it. What would be more depressing actually? Endless wars that you can do nothing about. No thanks, I'm done.

I feel as if I can [i]understand[/i] things better, but I feel largely powerless to make any kind of real change, like embracing why your old car is beyond repair and to give up.
