Question for the people in the USA

Hey, fellow SW user.
First of all sorry for my English, it is not my native language. Nevertheless, I had a discussion with my friend who had just returned from the US regarding taxes.
So if you would be so kind as to answer some of these questions, you can answer them however you prefer, it can be simple yes/no answer or you can add some comment to them. Thanks in advance.
- Do you think it is bad to pay taxes?
- Do you think that your taxes are too high?
- Would you like an increase or decrease in taxes?
- Do you think taxes are bad?
- Do you trust your government?
- Do you think America is the best country to live out the "American dream"
- How did you answer the following question? (i.e out from your own experience, data as statistic or research, your feelings etc.)

Best of wishes, and thanks again
Regards

- Do you think it is bad to pay taxes?
No. I think its bad not to pay taxes.

Do you think that your taxes are too high?
-
Of course I do.

Would you like an increase or decrease in taxes?
-

I'd always love a decrease, but I don't expect to get one, and don't think it would be a good idea necessarily.

- Do you think taxes are bad?

I think they're a necessary evil.

- Do you trust your government?

To a point. Much less so under the current administration which doesn't seem to abide by the Constitution, laws or norms.

- Do you think America is the best country to live out the "American dream"

I haven't really seen a compelling case made for anywhere else.

- How did you answer the following question? (i.e out from your own experience, data as statistic or research, your feelings etc.)

Mostly from my own experience and feelings, mixed with a moderate dose of "research" from sources which my President says are not to be trusted.

- It's bad to pay taxes when the money is not well spent.

- My taxes are too high. I receive less for them than people in other countries get for theirs.

- I would accept an increase if it meant improved/expanded services, but not otherwise.

- Not inherently.

- To some extent, not with money.

- No.

- Some of all of them.
