Why do people get so touchy over guns lmao

@Overwatch6
We defend our homes and country with them
I see this is the main reasoning for guns supporters. Wouldn't our countries and homes be safer if only trained professionals (i.e. the police, army, feds, etc) - and at most people who get thoroughly and periodically scrutinized prior to getting a license - had access to guns?

@Overwatch6 Of course not, but I'm fine if they're patrolling the area I live in, and knowing potentially dangerous people have a hard time acquiring/transporting guns. Much easier and less risky for the officers to intervene in case of issues, also. That's pretty much how it worked here (Italy) so far, in spite of criminality being quite present in the territory - in particular in the south of the country - the murder rate per habitants is far below the one of the U.S. last time I checked 🤔

@Overwatch6 😆 ironically, you could get in legal troubles for that. That's the real issue here, self defence laws are inadequate, if we're getting deregulated guns, esp with the current laws, it'll only benefit the criminals. Just a major revision of current laws (i.e. you don't get processed if you prove via video recording or equivalent that you were defending yourself / your property), even with the current guns restrictions in place (it's not that they're totally forbidden; you just have to undergo some mandatory training, and periodical checks before getting any, and every gun is registered to you so you're responsible if it's misused) would be abundantly fine.

@Overwatch6 No wonder you and I are done talking, you can't handle confrontation. That's the problem with you "pro-guns-america-first" people, you're brainwashed propaganda machines and whenever you're confronted with some logics you can't handle, you flee like scared animals.

The penalty for this offense is up to 6 months in a county jail. Hardly ever imposed.
Why is this a "lib issue?" Infraction of a standing law should be of concern to every law abiding citizen.

If Libs want to pass ridiculous laws then they must face the music when they break said laws.

I would support jailing Ashton Kutcher. If being Ashton Kutcher isnt an offence , it should be.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
Well, if that's the typical punishment for breaking that law. He's probably got money though, they'll likely just fine him.
