Why is President Trump so afraid of a free press?

I don't believe he is. Rather, he is being attacked constantly and without pause by the MSM both for things he has some control over, and things he has no control over.

He is reacting to the ongoing propaganda campaigns currently being waged against him by the MSM, Hollywood, and Democrats/political elites.

@SumKindaMunster He’s being “attacked” constantly because of all the dumb things he has said and done. I mean, what do you want the media to do? Not call Trump out when he does wrong and just lie all the time that he is doing great?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Can you give me a few examples? Curious.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User
all the dumb things he has said and done
That's your opinion. I'm not unhappy with his performance as President, and don't really care to get upset when he says something controversial because really, that's just a distraction, and you will never stop being outraged if you choose to let such things upset you.
SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 Trump has been criticized for banning journalists from the White House.

Here is one example:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/media/2018/jul/26/cnn-reporter-banned-trump-white-house-event-kaitlan-collins

He’s been called out for leaving the Paris Accord

He’s been called out for not going to a military cemetary ceremony because of bad weather.

He’s been fact checked several times. One example would be fact checking that political ad he shared on Twitter attempting to compare illegal immigrants to some cop killer.

One example:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/US/trump-ad-mexican-cop-killer-blatant-racist-fear/story%3fid=58897185

Another example was his misleading comment about voter fraud.
https://www.apnews.com/fcd4713fa83d446097395693f07f7298

He’s been criticized by fox new on several things as well.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thewrap.com/11-times-fox-news-criticized-trump/amp/

I really don’t see how all these are attacks on Trump.

@SW-User So what did you think of Obama when he banned the press?
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster You can listen to him spout nonsense on Youtube. He has said dumb things several times.

Here are a few examples:

@hippyjoe1955 That was a bad move that President Obama did as well. And he was called out for it too. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster So you don’t care to get upset when he says something controversial because according to you it’s a distraction?

Wow SumKindaMunster you are dumb.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User My question was simply to find out if you are just partisan or if you are being honest.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User So you think I'm gonna watch your stupid videos after you insult me? Get bent.

I love watching Trump spin morons like you up, it's good sport.

Suffer you fool.
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster
I'm not unhappy with his performance as President, and don't really care to get upset when he says something controversial because really, that's just a distraction
It's true, anyone who believes this is dumb to be honest. And I know you're not going to watch the videos because that would refute your statement on the dumb things Trump has said and done is
just an opinion
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User Whatever. You are yet another non American who knows nothing of our country save for what your media tells you, but you think you can tell me what I am supposed to believe about our country and President. Feel free to emigrate here and actually do something about it.

Otherwise, you are yet another tiresome fool completely indoctrinated by your liberal media.

SW-User
@SumKindaMunster Non-American? Boi, I live in the states. You can search my many post on being an American and living in Colorado and Arkansas.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User Well then maybe it's time to exit the liberal echo chamber you are currently immersed in. Either way you are tiresome and boring.
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster No thanks.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User Of course, why would you? It's much easier and more fun to sit in a bubble of privilege and entitlement and tell everyone else they need to change, you are always a victim and the world owes you.

Are you African American? It says so in one of your posts but since you were deceptive about where you live(it says World on your profile) I figured I would ask before I commented.
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster
It's much easier and more fun to sit in a bubble of privilege and entitlement and tell everyone else they need to change, you are always a victim and the world owes you.
Let's get things straight.

#1. I'm not a victim
#2. the world doesn't owe me anything. I am not that type of person.
Are you African American?
Why, yes I am.
Platinum · M
@SW-User you should care more if he was not doing well for the country, we all know he says and does stupid things, but economy is good and employment up and he has kept NK, Russia and Syria quiet and that's more important than any dumb remark he makes...
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User
I'm not a victim
Well then you are the one African American in America who isn't. What's your secret?
the world doesn't owe me anything. I am not that type of person.
It would seem we owe you deference to your opinion on Trump since you cannot accept another viewpoint, calling my opinion "dumb" without any sort of substantive reply as to why you feel that way, nor an opportunity for me to clarify and explain.
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster
Well then you are the one African American in America who isn't. What's your secret?
Well that's a very ignorant thing to say. Many Black Americans do not think they are a victim. It's a few who do and some of us don't agree with their view points. What's my secret? Not being brought up to think I'm a victim I guess?
It would seem we owe you deference to your opinion on Trump since you cannot accept another viewpoint, calling my opinion "dumb" without any sort of substantive reply as to why you feel that way, nor an opportunity for me to clarify and explain
To me, saying that someone's controversial tone is a distraction is similar to someone claiming the moon landings were fake. They can believe it all they want, but I will not agree with such things. Why? because there is plenty of evidence to debunk their claims.

You've had all this time to clarify and explain.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User
Well that's a very ignorant thing to say
Yeah, it's really upsetting when someone judges you based on a single factor isn't it? Like being called a racist, Nazi or white supremacist because of your political beliefs.
To me, saying that someone's controversial tone is a distraction is similar to someone claiming the moon landings were fake. They can believe it all they want, but I will not agree with such things.
That's a ridiculous comparison. How does that even make sense? It sounds like an emotional argument, not a logical one.
You've had all this time to clarify and explain.
Oh have I? I guess I must have missed that opportunity between being called "dumb" and having all these demands that I read your links or watch your videos.
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster

Funny thing, I've been called racist and a nazi on here. The problem that I have with people using those words is when they are used out of context. If you're not any of those things or don't support those things then those who say it are ignorant.

It might not be the best comparison, but not an emotional argument.

Oh well, that's you. You don't have to if you don't want to. You responded that Trump doing and saying dumb things is my opinion so I responded with videos and links.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
The problem that I have with people using those words is when they are used out of context.
Oh really? So it's ok to call people Nazis or white supremacists in the proper "context"? When would that be?

You feel the same way about derogatory terms directed at African Americans or Jews? That its ok to use derogatory terms to describe them in the proper context?
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster Well, if it's obvious they support nazism or white supremacy and they use similar language that suggest they are one. Such as saying "I support the Aryan race" Or I hate ni**ers, sp*cs and jews, then yes.

I mean, how would you describe these people?

and these people?

No.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User I wouldn't. Those people have been around since the ends of the World War 2 and the Civil War, respectively. They are fringe, nobody takes them seriously, and if you believe this is what constitutes Trump supporters, you have been indoctrinated by propaganda.
