Do u believe that Donald Trump is making race relations in the US worse ? 💹

I do. It would be rather stupid to ignore his hate filled rhetoric over the past year and pretend that is he is not amplifying the fears of some Americans. And lets also remember his ugly words about the players in the NFL and NBA too.

I have nothing but contempt for the Prez and his hard core supporters, but I I really don’t think he’s making it [b]worse[/b]. He’s rather caused the ugliness to bubble to the surface.

This nation was dedicated to “liberty” at the same time the constitution permitted men to hold other men as their property. That took almost two hundred years to remedy in the most strict legal sense and even now we have challenges to minorities exercising the franchise that are very thinly disguised ways to maintain power.

In time this era may be therapeutic, as it has exposed the lie of a color blind society. And, unintentionally, the Prez may contribute to bettter race relations long term by being a great example of what white privilege means.
