@jackjjackson He wouldn't have got elected otherwise, even though there's been plenty of Trumpgret along the way. Of course, this site isn't really a bastion of cogent conservative thought. Less Federalist, more Bubba. I don't know why, just how it is.

Maybe this site isn’t a true cros sectional reflection. However with all the blocking it’s hard to tell. A lot of people have simply blocked the other side out of spite. @QuixoticSoul

@jackjjackson Tbh most of the people who blocked me have been shockingly dumb - from either side. I occasionally take a look around with an alt and I'm always amazed. They're not adding anything.

Since I’m a bit to the right of moderate but by no means totally conservative I still get blocked often by the left. However many on the left have reasonable discusssions with me. I don’t k ow if anyone can say which side blocks more since it’s all behind the scenes. For example neither of us has a clue as to who blocked us. Personally I block no one. @QuixoticSoul

@jackjjackson I blocked one person, but that was early on in my SW tenure and I didn't know you could mute people. Nothing political though, he was just spamming the feed with his balls.

@jackjjackson It just means you don't see their posts on the front page, I think.

So I still see them if I scroll through questions in a specific category? I don’t look at what’s on the front page anyways. @QuixoticSoul

@jackjjackson I think you can see their comments in other threads and visit their profile, but their posts won't show up in normal operation. But never tested it out tbh.

Oh OK thanks. I generally stick to the politics questions and would not want to accidentally press something and miss any. How about this? I believe we are often on opposite “sides” but I believe our discussions have always been reasonable. It’s not that hard. Why can’t the country do this? @QuixoticSoul
