Is Ivanka the best USA ambassador to the UN?

I have just updated this question so it would get more eyes and more comments than it did when I posted it in the middle of last night!

President Trump recently tweeted that his daughter, Ivanka, was the BEST possible choice to replace Nikki Haley as the ambassador for the United States in the United Nations; do you agree?

And, why stop there? As you may, or may not be aware, one does not need to have a law degree to serve on the Supreme Court - in fact, James Byrnes, who served from 1941 to 1942 did not even graduate from high school; nor is there any age requirement to serve on the Court?

Therefore, if 3 more justices retire while Trump is President, why doesn't he simply appoint, Don Jr., Eric, and Barron - you know, just keep the government in the family?

That’s definitely a thought. Not an accurate thought but a thought. Seems to me it’s a thought designed to troll up trouble 😀

The comment about Barron was meant as a joke, though it would be constitutionally permitted.

However, I can definitely see President Trump offering up Don Jr. and/or Eric to fill important national or international political positions..

The seeds of genius would not fall far from the tree of the 'stable genius'.

I figured adding Barron was for humor. Actually so was DJTJ and Eric if you ask me. @Quakertrucker

I would have hoped that Ivanka was a joke as well, but such does not seem to have been the case.

What are her qualifications? I am serious; what possible background does she have that would qualify her to represent the United States of America on the international stage?

And, again as a serious question, what would qualify her more than Don, Jr. or Eric to serve in such a capacity?

I look forward to hearing your response - or any answers from anyone who reads this posting.

With the right staff Mrs Kushner has the paersonaluty and charisma to do it. Is she the best choice? I don’t think so. @Quakertrucker

Personality and charisma are great attributes to have, but in the world of international politics where - as General Carl von Clausewitz famously stated: "War is just politics by other means" - they are no substitute for the necessary experience and knowledge.

If President Trump really wants Ivanka, to be an ambassador anywhere - much less at the United Nations - he should appoint her to a junior position in one of our foreign embassies in a friendly nation. Then, as her skills and knowledge increases, she could be moved up to head an embassy as ambassador. Finally, once she is amassed the needed knowledge, Trump could then appoint her ambassador to the United Nations.

Of course, as Trump continues to attack our allies and our trading partners with little - if any - provocation, we may soon have no friendly nations left, in which Ivanka could be placed to gain the requisite insights and abilities.
