Democrats can appeal to about 49% of the popular vote in the next election and they will need to resort to force. That means they will have to let go of some their radical left.
@okaybut We held the popular vote last time, [b]before[/b] Trump basically embarrassed our country with scandal after scandal. The Republicans would want to get rid of their [b]racist[/b] right connections. Difficult with the POTUS leading them.

@bijouxbroussard But not enough to overtake the smaller states and the Electoral College (48.2% to about 49% should do it). I am not sure the Republicans can shed their racist right. And that means the Democrats could very easily win the next election if they just move to a more moderate ideology and connect with the working poor (ie. the swing states that Trump very masterfully took last election).
