Of course not. The letter hasn't been vetted or verified. The two "scathing" assertions are that she once helped ease the nerves of a friend preparing to take a polygraph by “explaining in detail what to expect” and how they work - something almost anyone could do - and that she never mentioned a sexual assault to him. What of it?

She has no reason to lie. She has gained nothing (no, no money) and lost much. She's been thrown into a crucible of public opinion and derision. What would be the motive to do this? Abortion? That's safe - the great majority of this country supports a woman's right to choose and that's not going to matter, even if it could be decided by the sitting bench. And it could be, given that the SCOTUS is already conservative leaning.
