Yeah, I love the way Whitehouse tried to make a totally unrelated 'calendar entry' look like it might have been a sure record of the alleged incident. He was corrected afterwards but the demoncrats know that something doesn't have to have an ounce of truth to it. It only has to be 'said'. It shocks the hell out of me that people are shamelessly raping this man and his family for political advantage and pretending they care about the crime of sexual assault, but what shocks me even more is that people actually see it and condone it! This whole situation is one of the saddest things I've ever seen in this country. I already knew that a lot of politicians were 'slime balls' but I really wasn't aware of how many regular citizens were ready willing and able to be slime balls in lock step with them.
@Serenitree I hope that at least some people are really paying close attention to what is happening and not just what is being 'said'. There is a big difference. 😢
@Serenitree Yes. I realize it was not what your were trying imply, but I am well aware of Trump's faults and short comings, and I have been forthright with my criticism of him also. I pointed out his remarks about Puerto Rico, and his general problem with 'blurts'. I know that he is disconnected from the majority of his base simply as a matter of birth. I know that he 'performs' more than I would like him to, and he insults the intelligence of some of his constituents when he tries to talk like he seems to think 'they' would. From a fatalist and realist perspective though, I love the job he is doing. This is bigger than Trump though. People on both sides of this issue are allowing a bigger issue to be trivialized by pretense and affectation. Boys and girls misbehaving. No one is ready to address the root of the misbehavior that people either lie about, or use for political advantage, or minimize.
@puck61 Ah, yes. But it's not just Trump. It's everyone. There, here, all over the world. And every election. There are people who will never see, or admit, they made a mistake.
In your case....re Trump vs Clinton...it was a choice between bad and worse, and whichever one got in was going to be vilified by the opposition.
In my case, I detested Trump from way back in the 1970s. He was always so full of his trumpishness. Arrogant, self agrandizing, and not nice. I can't speak to his womanizing back then because I never really heard or saw anything about it. His public persona was enough.
@Serenitree I understand. My daughter doesn't like him....come to think of it, I'm the only one in my extended family that approve of his work. ......and that is it. I approve of his plans and the improvements that I can see and feel. My TIAA and businesses popping up like mushroom in places that were vacant for eight years. I don't really care about much beyond where the rubber meets the road. I'll even speak Poodle Shark . I agree with his xenophobia, paranoia, Islamophobia, nationalism, and his favoritism towards Christian Judaic principles........uh, I mean 'intolerant dogma'!
