Could we save the Republic by banning warning labels and then waiting for conservatives to remove themselves from the gene pool?

The democracy part of our nation has been suffering for a long time. Our election systems are quite bad at reflecting public sentiment. more often we are told what to worry about than than actually asked. I mean truly. When was the last time a high level politician ASKED constituents what they were concerned with in a non-rhetorical fashion?
