Chrsitine Blasey Ford - DO NOT TESTIFY MONDAY

Christine Blasey Ford has no obligation to testify in the hearing Monday. She should absolutely stand her ground that an investigation be conducted first and foremost.

Her testifying in a hearing before politicians/lawmakers is ABSOLUTELY the WRONG FORUM in which for her to speak about, assuming it to be true, such a deeply disturbing situation. What we do know is that the hearing will surely degrade into a character assassination of a woman and/or a man both of whom should be appearing and discussing the details of the event(s) that allegedly took place in front of authorities (police, FBI, whatever appropriate agency should investigate) so personal accounts can be properly documented, witnesses interviewed and versions of the events properly evaluated as to what, if anything, should be done with truth being sought and charges being filed, as appropriate.

In NO WAY should she appear, testify and answer questions by senators with political and professional (and some personal) agendas. This is NOT the time, nor place, no forum to explore what did/did not happen.

This hearing, should it happen and she testify, will be embarrassing, disturbing and degrading for everyone; Kavanaugh, Ford, Committee Members who will disgrace themselves as much as Kavanaugh and Ford and all Americans as to how we conduct ourselves and will be a complete mockery of our process, government and character.

Everyone, Republicans and Democrats, delay this confirmation and give this the appropriate attention it deserves.

Shame... shame... shame on anyone who thinks she should testify in this forum and this confirmation hearing shouldn’t be delayed.

let's all form a lynch mob and hang everyone without a trial or credible evidence. who cares if someone is actually charged with anything.
@DuchessOfMapleSyrup Trump would certainly be on board with that. How many times has he made claims and felt no need to provide any evidence whatsoever ?

Or is it different when it's your overlord ? 🙄

@bijouxbroussard trump is not my overlord. saying that does not justify the cotton mather like actions of the radical left
@DuchessOfMapleSyrup You believe that investigating charges of sexual assault before confirming a man who will have women's lives in his hands is radical and leftist ? What exactly does the right stand for, if anything ?
@bijouxbroussard don't tell me what i believe. read my initial response to this post.
@DuchessOfMapleSyrup I did, as well as your KKK meme on another post. It made no sense because the leader of the KKK today is a Trump supporter. Chances are Thom Robb is also on Trump's side regarding having Kavanaugh rushed through and confirmed, regardless of whether or not he's a sexual predator.

And I'm not telling you, I'm asking, based on your comments.

@DuchessOfMapleSyrup Nobody needs to be charged with anything, and this isn’t a court of law. Standards for evidence, consequences, etc - all are very different.

This is a lifetime appointment of enormous power, where someone’s character is a huge aspect of their eligibility. There is an expectation that candidates are held to extremely high standards and get raked over coals. That’s how it should be - because removing them from the bench after the fact is nigh-impossible (and that’s also how it should be).
@QuixoticSoul doesn't make me feel any less disgusted by the lynch mob mentality.

@DuchessOfMapleSyrup That’s how these things are supposed to work. It’s not supposed to be a comfortable process, nor is there any presumption of innocence here. If anything, it’s the other way around. The onus is on the candidate to demonstrate that his character is impeccable - the rest of us owe him nothing at all.
@DuchessOfMapleSyrup Then you should really hate how the accuser is receiving literal death threats for daring to come forward.
@bijouxbroussard death threats are despicable . the thing cowards do
