What if everyone stoped using terms like libtard, commie, Nazi, fascist, racist as an experiment?

SW may be a microcosm or society. Why not give it a try and see if we all learn to listen with some respect a little better? Avoidance of snarkiness and namecalling in general would also help.

Sighs. I like the idea, but if we get rid of name-calling, won't we make it hard for some folks?

If you got rid of name calling, political rallies would begin to resemble mime conventions. @MistyCee

Good one. You think politicians are incapable of civil speech? @SW-User

I think political discourse has become diseased at the national level, and that disease has festered and spread regionally and locally. In recent years, the voting public has not only tolerated vitriol, voters have rewarded it over civility and dignity. As long as venomous hyperbole continues to prevail at the polls, it will continue to prevail at the podium.
@SW-User doesn't sound like such a bad thing to me to get rid of rallies and start having opportunities for candidates to address issues, tbh.

Rallies conjure up Nazi gatherings or high school pep rallies, neither of which seem all that useful, fun or not.

Seems to be a big item in the President’s tool box. @MistyCee
