Consider, perhaps, those conditions set forth by the all male Senate Committee. Perhaps she feltt intimidated that it would only be she and the person she is accusing in the same room together answering questions from politicians with a very unhidden political agenda. She gets to set the conditions when it comes to her own comfort and most important safe zone.

@KaTeeEvent It would be interesting to see the notes, transcripts, journals made by the FBI when they performed previous investigations. Considering how the FBI vetted John Edwards, and recent disclosures about how political the FBI is, it may be that it's the FBI that really needs investigating.

But, an honest FBI investigation would have to also include investigating Ms. Ford's sexual history. Did she routinely attend all-boys parties? What about the circumstances about her being drunk? Did she also do drugs? Who else did drugs at that party? etc., etc.

This is raw politics. Or more appropriately called "foul and smelly politics"

She was 15. A child. It doesn’t matter a bit if she was drinking, playful or even amorous. If the two guys put their hand over her mouth and forced her as she claims it’s wrong and Judge k should be disqualified.

This whole process sucks.

But the good Senator from CA has never been known to be a shrinking violet.

The swamp needs to be drained. Unfortunately, Trump is the Swamp Thing.

Agreed. Not sure how proven. Seems like it should be more than an allegation but I’m not sure what. @KaTeeEvent
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That is off topic JF. All politicians are swamp things. I’m watching you. Be careful. Stay on topic and no name calling please. @JoeyFoxx

The committee has four woman including Senator to whom the letter was delivered. @KaTeeEvent

Except it's an allegation and not fact. Lacking evidence beyond her allegation of what may or may not have happened 36 years ago, such things as motives and behavior are the only things the investigators have to go on before making an assessment. In fairness, everyone's character would be examined.

The assumption that Kavanaugh's supporters are biased has to be balanced with the fact that Ms. Ford's defenders are also biased.

Both were children and lacking information about Ms. Ford's birthday, I have no idea how much older he was than she.

It appears that Ms. Ford's objective is to prevent Kavanaugh's nomination. Considering that he has already been a prominent judge for years, and the underhanded way this was handled by Feinstein, there is no way that her character and behavior, then and now, should be above scrutiny. As well as Feinstein's character.

Dr Ford may we’ll be 100% truthful. If not it’s doubtdul she cooked up this scheme solo. Assuming she is truthful the handling of it has been politically motivated. A better way to handle it would have been for the committee to have met with her in camera and if they concluded she was truthful convey that to Kavanaugh who would have withdrawn and right now the committee would be reviewing another nominee. Or if the committee concluded she wasn’t credible the full Senate would have already voted on the nomination or will have by close of business tomorrow. @Heartlander

@KaTeeEvent oh brother. she made the accusation. She needs to get her ass in front of them IF she considers she is telling the truth instead of stalling. she waited how long? 36 yrs...geez.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Why does Dr Ford need a team of lawyers? @akindheart
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
What are you implying about a team of lawyers. Does she, in fact, have a team? No one appears in front of a Senate Committe with out legal insight and input, I would imagine.

@jackjjackson
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
At least two claiming to be her lawyers have been on CNN. One maybe? Two or more? Why? Who is paying them? @KaTeeEvent
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
@akindheart As with all young females who are still children, the most vulnerable age group, humiliation, embarrassment, peer pressure and shame from being the victim of a traumatic event such as moleststion and rape causes the victim to withdraw into a shell. It’s common for those victims to not come forward. She’s been courageous to do so and should be encouraged to provide testimony and not have arrows aimed at her. Let her speak at her own pace.

Yes, but observing how Feinstein played "keep-away" with the evidence and the way that Democrats are failing to participate beyond defending Ms Ford without reservations, and the way Ms. Ford and her attorneys keep trying to move the goalpost about her testifying, it's pretty obvious that this is just another attempt by Democrats and their media stooges to intimidate Republicans into non-action.
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
Dr.Ford is the alleged victim here and contacted Sen. Feinstein under the caveat of anonymity. I’m assuming Feinstein held back for sharing what she found until Dr. Ford agreed that it would be ok to do so. To think otherwise is to cheapen what dr. Ford has to say and to politicize it. Bottom line: let’s get to the bottom of it and if it means a couple of extra days so be it.

Either to help confuse the issue ...... or help prevent her from committing perjury.
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
Or to find out if she actually has important information that may disqualify a person from sitting on the highest court in the nation. That’s what we want, someone honest and inscrutable to fill the position. Let’s hear what she has to say.

Yes, and part of the investigation should be about how this confidential information made it from Feinstein's office to the Washington Post.
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
Perhaps or most likely Dr, Ford felt comfortable enough to say she would like to go public, with her stoy. It’s a red herring.

But so far, she only seems to want to talk to Democrat members of the committee.
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
She said she will talk to the committee, which is comprised of members from both political parties, next week. I’m not thinking there is evidence for a conspiracy of any sort.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
No evidence f anything so far. She had some unannounced conditions that must be met prior to testifying. Wonder what those are? @KaTeeEvent
akindheart · 61-69, F
@jackjjackson bottom line-she made an accusation. She knew who and what it was about and the outcome. now is not the time to clam up. she needs to get her A** to court and prove her point. all these stipulations are RIDICULOUS...
KaTeeEvent · 36-40, F
She made the accusations indeed and as the one as she claims who was molested as a child she has the right to set the conditions where, when and how she testifies. We as Americans should want to know the truth at all costs.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
We do want the truth. We do not want a team of lawyers constantly moving the goalpost. Due process includes the right to confron one’s accuser. Demanding thst Kavanaugh not be in the room when Dr Ford testifies is unconstitutional. @KaTeeEvent
