I'm really not sure on this one, tbh.
Leaving aside the issue of respecting confidentiality this guy is already on the bench, so whether Trump pulls his nomination or not, it seems like if it's relevant to the Supreme Court, it would still be relevant to the district Court.
If she should have reported it, it seems like she ought to have reported it to someone other than POTUS, or at least in addition to him.
