Voting Pro Trump is an act of Racism.

Lets call it what it is people. An act of inhumanity to your neighbour.
He may or not be racist himself. Although as a narcissist and borderline sociopath he is certainly not someone I want living in my area. But lets not dwell on him. Lets talk about his voters. The kind of hate that supports building walls, allows religious and racial prejudice and doesn't stand for the values of tolerance and unity in adversity that actually DID make America great is short sighted, self centred and racist. Just look at what each and every Trump supporter voted for.

Every single Trump supporter is a racist. There is just no way out of that.

Sighs.

If we have to take Trump's bait and attack each other, can we at least make say that, after all this time, anyone that continues to vote for him or support him is _____.

I'm as guilty of anyone else about doing it, but if we're going to step into the muck of hating our neighbors and calling them names, shouldn't we at least be careful about it and pick our spots?

Slightly more seriously, DJT's appeal to tribalism is not his only fault, and I'd be perfectly happy if racists voted against his enablers and collaborators in November for any reason, whether its changing their minds on his dabbling with race issues, thinking his tariff stuff is wrong, that his tax cuts didn't help them, that he's tweeting about dead brown skinned people in Puerto Rico instead of focusing on white people in trouble in North Carolina, that he's compromised by Russia, that he can't manage his staff, or just because he has bad hair and taste in women.

Personally, I think that DJT is dangerous to the entire country, including racists, and on the off chance that some might not be single issue voters, what's the purpose in making it all about that one issue.

I know, it may seem unprincipled, and I totally get how you feel, but there's a lot more wrong with Trump than racism, and given how much there is, it just seems like we'd be better off pointing all of those things out and not raging about how anyone who doesn't see one problem, or even agrees with him about it, is bad.

Rant over.

While I agree with every word of your rant, this is not actually about Trump. Its about the moral choices those who support him make and the values they promote. The great nation America became was based on migration including other races and faiths. The Chinese and Irish were a large part of early migration after the founding fathers. We ALL have a "race" None of us are entitled to look down at others and deny them the opportunity we had.(MistyCee]
@whowasthatmaskedman I agree with you as well, but toning down the anticommunist stuff and working with Stalin against a mutual enemy might not be such a bad idea right now.

Whats in a name? Communism doesn't exist any more as a political reality. Its My Oligarchy V Your Oligarchy. Whether its Russian, Chinese or American. And the Chinese are by far the best organised and resourced.. But that's a different question.@MistyCee
@whowasthatmaskedman lol, I guess it is better to have said that politics make strange bedfellows.

The point I was trying to make, I guess, is, that the enemy of your enemy doesn't really have to be your closest friend.

But this is not a moral issue, so I'll shut up.

I am actually on your side in that. Politics is a crappy game at the best of times. But played at its best it is about delivering the greatest good for the greatest number. I will certainly grant that at the time, if you didn't look too closely, Trump seemed worth the risk. Now you got him home and took the wrapper off.....Not so much.@MistyCee
