Voting Pro Trump is an act of Racism.

Lets call it what it is people. An act of inhumanity to your neighbour.
He may or not be racist himself. Although as a narcissist and borderline sociopath he is certainly not someone I want living in my area. But lets not dwell on him. Lets talk about his voters. The kind of hate that supports building walls, allows religious and racial prejudice and doesn't stand for the values of tolerance and unity in adversity that actually DID make America great is short sighted, self centred and racist. Just look at what each and every Trump supporter voted for.

do you think he gets reelected?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
I don't think he will be on the Republican ticket at the next Presidential election. And if by some miracle he stays out of jail he will probably run as an independent and destroy the Republican vote.@RemovedUsername811342

yes but my problem with that is I still do not understand the american election system (im from europe) all the discussion about ''he did not win the popular vote'' etc. like whats the case here? does he or does he not?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
There is this word "gerrymander" which means you change the boundaries for electorates to favour one side or the other. Both sides do it. But that is how the greatest number of votes can still lose, because of where those lines are drawn.@RemovedUsername811342

@whowasthatmaskedman Of course he’ll be on the Republican ticket, just as any other incumbent.

yes i have seen some examples of this ''line drawing'' but it was still to complex for me cause i dont have the background knowledge. but there are many people in europe that support Trump. first president who did not start a war yet
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Lets see what the mid terms say.. One thing I think we can all agree on is that Trump is the exception to the rules.@QuixoticSoul

@whowasthatmaskedman i should know better than to get involved in any of these conversations but you are mistaken.
Gerrymandering has nothing to do with presidential elections.
The electoral college is the means by which the president is elected. Its purpose is to prevent high population states from completely overwhelming less populous states input into the process.
Gerrymandering only affects representative districts on various levels.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Okay.. Semantics from us both. But in this case the imbalance that creates a gerrymander comes between the number of electoral college votes and the actual population of the state. Plus the fact that some states apply their college votes proportionally, where some do a winner take all system. I oversimplified on the basis that its a pretty odd set up and not widely used anywhere else.@ArnoldJRimmer
