Are Trump's Lies Becoming Even More Blatant?

This morning he tweeted that the GDP was higher than the unemployment rate for the first time in over 100 years! The only problem with that is that it isn't even close to true. In the past 70 years, there have been 62 quarters where that is true. In other words, over 22 percent of the time, the GDP has been higher than the unemployment rate over a quarter. And while a high GDP and low unemployment is good, they measure completely different things and are never compared by economists.

Does Trump even care that his continuing lies are so easily debunked?

He just says whatever the hell he wants without regard to facts. He spreads fake news every day. I can't listen to him anymore. I try, but just about every word out of his mouth is a lie, and it makes my blood boil. How is it OK for the president to just lie without consequences? No one does anything about it. It makes me crazy.

@ChampagneOnIce Eventually he'll be removed from office one way or another. Mueller has to complete his investigation first, and we have the mid-term elections. Even with a third of the country behind him, he can't last and continue to spread his brand of hatred and lies.

@windinhishair I hope you're right. Pence isn't much better in terms of policies, but I think he'd at least be more presidential and less embarrassing on a global scale. I just hope we have some decent choices in 2020.

@ChampagneOnIce I think we can all agree that better choices in 2020 would be best for everyone, regardless of party affiliation.

@windinhishair Absolutely.
