Has the Booker charade tanked his presidential dreams?

It’s one thing to be grandstanding and actually defying rules by releasing classifying documents. It’s another to be screaming and angry and saying you are releasing classified documents and prepared to face the consequences when you know the whole time that the documents are NOT classified.

Probably, but I doubt he had much of a chance, anyway.

I really do expect that, once riling up the kiddies for the midterms is over, at least assuming it works, that the democrats will end up trying to nominate a more stable and less controversial candidate for 2020 if Trump runs for re-election.

If Trump doesn't run, I think all bets are off, in terms of who will run for both parties, and even looking like an idiot might pay off if people remember his name.

Michael Moore said the Dems need someone with star power on his or her own such as Oprah to beat the President.

I don’t see how the establishment Dems can’t give the nomination to someone from the far left after the Sanders fiasco. The left is still seething over the screwing over the DNC gave Sanders. @MistyCee
@jackjjackson You've emphasized that point before, and while I see some of it, I think it's an oversimplification, as well as a Republican dream.

Obama coming out, for example, is a sign that the democrats realize they need to get their house in order, which includes bringing the Bernie crowd in.

I'm not saying they'll get their homework done, but the assignment was given out, and some people might still do it, if they're not busy binging on Micheal Moore films.

A new Michael Moore film is coming out. How influential it is will be interesting.

What President Obama did in his speech is unprecedented for a recently retired president. In addition doubling down on the rejected Mrs Clinton message may hve the opposite of the desired effect. It could easily backfire.
Between Booker and President Obama, the Dems may have given the President the ability to ride this out and possibly get shudder the thought releelcted.

For some reason I think Dems particularly the left are sick of the Clinton, Kerry, Pelosi, Schumer generation. If the Dems were smart they would all be summarily dumped and the Dems will focus on Harris and Knobluchar now that Booker has shot himself in the foot.

No argument there, and listening to Trump and Obama back to back is similar to listening to the difference between a two year old having their first violin lesson and a virtuoso who can fill Carnegie Hall.

Trump's response? That Obama put him to sleep...Of course Donny, of course. More like he struggled over the content and the big words.
