"I understand that he's been in for a year and a half, but when you look at those numbers, this is not going away."

Indeed, the economy does seem to be on fire, and it's fairly easy to draw a straight line from Trump's policies to the current trends.

I remember when the media called out Trump for claiming he could easily get the get the GDP to 3-3.5%. They said those claims were criminal and that he was unstable mentally for making such outlandish claims.

@TexChik That’s quarterly. Obama’s max was like, 5.2%, btw. But it’s the yearly number that has everyone interested, because it’s a better indicator.

Now, 3% should be achievable, we used to see it somewhat regularly before the Great Recession. But you know what they say about counting chickens before they hatch.
