My dad worked in IT and they started trying to pay him to train his replacement and teach indians how to work on the mainframe.

To really free lance and put himself out there as knowing what he was doing to employers who might be looking one way of getting attention was helping people on computer forums but the indians were poorly trained and pretty much expected them to write the code for them.

The reason it took so long between jobs was that many of the jobs went to China and India.

they weren't taken by people who have come into the country illegally.

Those coders still live and work in china and india.

and there's no stopping what happened to my dads job because it was the internet which basically killed it.
