Absolutely. He was the right combination of intelligence, personality, and ability to articulate to large masses of people. He proved he was a great choice, regardless of ethnicity.

@Fernie, thank-you. The rabid right still don't want to believe that a whole bunch of people elected Obama for the[i] right[/i] reasons.

I don't personally know too many liberals that give people of other ethnicity a free pass, just because they are not white.
