That is not a crime. Sorry to burst your bubble like that.
Sarin · 26-30, M
@hippyjoe1955 Yes it is. Sorry if the law is hard for you to wrap your thick head around.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 Cohen already pleaded guilty to the crimes committed in coordination and at the direction of Trump. Sorry to burst your bubble like that. There were two separate counts that he was guilty on.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Sarin Nope. Not even close to a crime. It is done all the time and no one is ever charged with it. The only thing that would make it illegal is if Trump used campaign funds to pay off the women. He didn't. He doesn't need to. He has his own money.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair None of which implicate Trump. Sorry you are simply wrong. Find a better source of news. CNN is not your friend.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 Whether he used campaign money or his own is immaterial. It is a crime and has already resulted in an admission of guilt by one of the two parties. It can't be a crime for Cohen and not a crime for Trump. Doesn't work that way.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 What part of "in coordination and at the direction of a candidate for federal office" and "an individual elected president" doesn't implicate Trump?
Sarin · 26-30, M
@windinhishair Don't bother, if they're beyond help fuck em.

@windinhishair Ding Ding Ding. The concept of “in kind contributions” has not been covered by Hannity, hence the rubes don’t know what it means.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair you really are that clueless? Even the guy who used to oversee elections said no crime was committed. You need a better news source.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 News Flash--COHEN PLEADED GUILTY to the crimes--two counts--and directly implicated Trump. Are you really that clueless? I think the Federal Prosecutor for the Southern District of New York knows the law better than either one of us.

@ValhallaAwaitsUs The charges in question that Cohen pleaded guilty to were campaign finance violations, not bribery as hush money, though they may have served that purpose.

@windinhishair some one pleading guilty does not mean acrime has been committed. It means the person pleading guilty doesn't want to fight any more.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 The prosecutor cannot accept a guilty plea to a crime that hasn't been committed. They have to have corroborating evidence of the crime.
Sarin · 26-30, M
@windinhishair Exactly.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair Actually they can and do on a regular basis. They also prosecute and convict innocent people of committing crimes. Do a bit of checking of the number of blacks on death row that were put there by over zealous prosecutors.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 How many of the blacks on death row pleaded guilty?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair A few. You haven't read much legal history have you?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
More than you have. Show me evidence of the innocent black men that pleaded guilty to crimes that they did not commit because of overzealous prosecutors that resulted in them getting the death penalty.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair Do your own bloody research you lazy slob. If you want to remain ignorant your entire life I am not about to stop you.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 I was waiting for your typical response. As always, you have absolutely nothing other than your willful ignorance.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair Your standard procedure is to ask someone else to do your research for you then accusing them of not doing your work for you. Lazy slob.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 Your standard procedure is to make unfounded and outlandish claims, refuse to back them up, ignore all evidence to the contrary, and then demand someone else prove your point. You have nothing, never did, and are consistently intellectually dishonest. If you had proof you'd post it. You just like to hear your own lips flapping in the wind.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair So you missed Cohen's lawyer saying there is no proof of Cohen's claim? It was on MSNBC. You can start there.
