It seems there's been some 'clarity' about all that unfortunate misunderstanding about Trump Jr, Manafort and Kushner (Solver of all ME problems) and their meeting in Trump Tower in Jun 2016 with various Russian players, one floor down from Trump who apparently knew nothing about it until after the fact.
If we remember, it went from "It never happened" to "It was about adoptions" to "Yeah, but so what?" to "We didn't get what we came for" to "It wasn't wrong, everyone else does it" to "Dad didn't know anyway" to Hope Hicks and her infamous e mail and the resignation of the then Legal PR because although not a lawyer himself, he realised the legal jeopardy he was potentially facing.
Anyway...fast forward a little bit.The NYT reported the timeline of all the this and the Trump circus reaction was (Naturally) 'Fake News'. Well it seems the circus doesn't know which plates it has spinning and which it let drop, because today our favourite senile POTUS lawyer Ole Rudy says that the denial that was put out by Trump and co was in fact a mistake.. A genuine mistake no less!
And Trump today tweets this..
A couple of points the none self aware idiot hasn't grasped: Sure it isn't illegal to garner information about an opponent, however it is illegal to garner it from a foreign entity.
It seems too that Cohen (former fixer and bullet taker, now Trump's nemesis) is suggesting that Trump was more than well aware of the meeting that it was alleged he knew nothing about and sanctioned it. Not that Trump would lie or detach himself from stuff that he can conveniently throw other people under the bus with eh?
