What will the outcome of Muellers’ investigation be?

Hard to say just yet, and I think Mueller is keeping some cards very close to the vest, but I think the outcome is irrelevant.

That such investigation is warranted - and according to the courts, it is - is deeply concerning. Everyone wants to nit-pick and pretend this investigation is some kind of obstacle field in which the runner wins if they don't touch certain points, but taken as a whole, this is a deplorable situation for the US government to find itself in. Rarely, if ever, has there been amassed an administration with more allegations of inappropriate affiliations, questionable histories and suspicious actions as this one. That anyone is defending the collective mud pit that the WH has become is disturbing on a level that's hard to describe.

And what will come of it? Decades of mistrust of the media and any informational outlet, exponentially more suspicion of politics and government, a bar lowered nearly to the ground for acceptable candidates and officials, a hangover of incivility and racism that puts us back in the mid-20th century...

I saw an interview with Carl Bernstein yesterday in which he noted that the difference with this investigation and the Nixon debacle was that once it was fairly clear what was going on, Republicans had the fortitude and integrity to call their president on it and urge resignation. Today, they'll ride the coattails until the clothing disintegrates.

@Graylight yes like the democrats with obama and hillary

Throwing in the towel I see. Are you drinking? @Graylight
@MasterLee Obama & Hilary are dead issues at this point! How I wish this comment would stop! Are they president now? Focus!
Graylight · 51-55, F
@jackjjackson I don't drink, but perhaps you should lay off the sauce a bit. This is a comment to the larger picture of things. It's got nothing to do with admitting defeat or throwing in the towel. This isn't a game or a competition. If you could see the interests of the country in front of your political interests, it'd be an easier concept to grasp.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That’s where you’ve missed the boat. The interest of this country would have been better served by supporting the president beginning immediately after the election rather than all the whining that the losers have done since. @Graylight
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I’m no politician. The interests of this country are best served by keeping Mrs Clinton and her ilk out of power. So far so good. @Graylight
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@jackjjackson agreed
Graylight · 51-55, F
@jackjjackson @MasterLee The interest of this country are standing for the country, not necessarily the president.
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson The current POTUS has perjured his oath of office, why should he be supported?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Chicken egg situation. You all never gave the President a chance. @HerKing
Graylight · 51-55, F
@jackjjackson Trump -- through thick and thin. You're loyal.
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson All never gave him a chance? Really? ALL his opponents (Other than Pence) in the Primary described him as a lying crook. His past was written large and so for anyone to vote for him knowing what they did, is on them. What made anyone think he'd not be the same narcissistic, mendacious, manchild after he was elected than he was before? Because I know a lot of those who did vote for him said in the very early days that he'd change and mature into the office...He didn't, and he hasn't. He's more insecure, more thin skinned, more childish, more crooked and more of an obnoxious pig. (Apologies to porkines everywhere)

@Graylight great answer
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You two realize you’ve started repeated yourselves in the same thread right? @Graylight @HerKing
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson When you make a coherent and valid point you can complain..
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
You might want to review your comments made over the last week for starters. None have had a thing to do with the President’s performance as president which has been outstanding. @HerKing
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson 🤣 Outstanding as a traitor, sure.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Please go on. I’d like to hear the details of that particular claim. @HerKing
MasterLee · 56-60, M
They have nothing on Trump. Sucks to be them.

Now you're trolling... We had this discussion earlier. It involves the entire security heads (And Putin!) saying Putin interfered the last election and will continue to do it and Trump telling his rally last night it is a hoax.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Your traitor claim is yet another new one king. I asked for backup to your claim. Apparently like with most things you have none. @HerKing
HerKing · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson I'm sure there's another perfectly reasonable explanation why he undermines US security service chiefs and takes Putin's word as truth.. Trumpers eh? Believe anything the orange twat tells them to think.
