If and when another journalist is killed..Will Trump take the responsibility?

Last night's mobfest in FL had Trump pointing out the press who were covering it and declaring it 'fake news'.. The mob then turned on the assembled press and it was very ugly. Trump has already said that the press is the enemy of the people (Because they report on him, and quote him on stuff he later has to walk back) so how long before 'enemy of the people' becomes 'I want you to take action against the enemy of the people'?

And when the next journalist is killed (Remember the ones recently murdered?) will Trump cheer their demise? I sort of think he would.

I haven't heard a GOP suit condemn either Trump or the mob...why is that?

Maybe the press should boycott his rallies? I think it could come to that, even if it's for their own safety.

Politicians and judges don't take blame when an illegal immigrant kills or rapes someone, why would he be any different?
HerKing · 61-69, M
@FreeSpirit1 Hmmm but can you show where a judge or politician has encouraged murder or rape the way Trump encourages his mob?
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
@HerKing Trump has encouraged murdering journalists? Or he is just a douche calling everything he doesn't like fake news?
Some Politicians on the other hand have called for unfettered access to illegal immigrants, some even calling for abolishing ICE.

@FreeSpirit1 I asked you to show where a judge or politician has encouraged murder or rape. Trump encourages violence..He did pre election and offered to pay the bail of anyone arrested for assaulting a protester.

But last night was anti press. He wants the press to be answerable to him, and him alone. The way Stalin did. And Hitler...and pretty much every dictator past and present.

They don't encourage murder or rape they encourage unchecked people to enter the country and if some of them are bad people they say...oh well some of them are bad but most are good. It's called being complicit@HerKing

@HerKing So what are your thoughts on Maxine Waters and the BS she spewed a few weeks ago, calling on people to harass Trump staff and supporters? Is that not the same thing? Seems that there is a double standard here. Funny how people started harassing her, and she crawled back into her hole where she belongs.

@FreeSpirit1 You know that illegal immigrants have been shown to commit less crime than US citizen populations, right? And no one - politicians included - is calling for unfettered, open borders. No one. That's a self-perpetuating myth conservatives love to do battle with in the echo chamber.

And those who want ICE abolished - it's only been around since 2001 - only want to go back to regular immigration and customs. ICE was formed as the investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security and is the second largest contributor to the nation's Joint Terrorism Task Force. That's great...if we're dealing with terrorism, which we aren't. Not a single terrorist has been caught coming over the southern border. So what is the agency doing down there?
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
@Graylight so since you say illegal immigrants commit less crime than citizens we should let more in? I don't understand the logic of even comparing the two,we have criminals and other countries have criminals, should we take a percentage of theirs? If people came here legally we could at least weed out those with criminal records.
Thanks for weighing in with your opinion again.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@FreeSpirit1 I'm not saying let more in. I'm countering your contention.
"...when an illegal immigrant kills or rapes someone." I've heard this being said all to often as a rational to keep immigrants out of the country.

Should we take a percentage of another country's immigrants? I don't know - some become scientists, doctors, teachers, government officials... It's the same bet we take with people born here. We have a full vetting process for immigration (even illegal), the process of naturalization can take years, we don't accept nearly as many refugees and asylum seekers as other countries, so this outcry against people looking for a home is unwarranted IMO.

@Graylight ok, thanks for your input.

When has the president encouraged rape or murder? Geez King at least stick with reality you don’t have to make things up. @HerKing
